How do I edit or modify many domain name records (Whois records) at once?
Question: Domain name (web address): renewal, extension. Renew or extend time on your domain.
How do I renew or extend registration time for my domain name (web address)? Other keywords: renewal, extension
Solution:
To renew or extend registration time on your domain name, see the "Manage Domains"link or the "Your Account" tab at your WebAmerica partner company website. WebAmerica provides customer support services for many different web hosting and domain registration companies, so it is important to know where you registered your domain. For example, if you registered your domain name through www.1hostamerica.com, go directly to www.1hostamerica.com, click on the "Manage Domains" link (or the "Your Account" tab) and then select the option for renewing your domain name. Note: Expired domains can be reinstated up to 30 days after expiration. Domains expired over 30 days can not be renewed, and can not be reinstated. Under certain circumstances, your customer support person may be able to retrieve your domain (called domain "redemption"). The fee for domain redemption, where possible, is $200. Please contact customer support by submitting a support ticket at www.webamerica.com if you have further questions. If you do not remember where you registered your domain, go to www.networksolutions.com, click on the "Whois" link at the bottom of the page and look up the contact information for your domain name. The sponsoring registrar (domain registration company) will be listed at the top of your contact record.
Question: How do I manage my Web Hosting account?
How do I manage my Web Hosting account? How do I log in to manage my Web Hosting account? How do I see my email accounts, and disk space allocation?
Solution:
Ensure that you have ordered and have activated your web hosting account. If you have not yet placed an order for a hosting account, then your account is not active. Please submit a support ticket through this website, or visit the "web hosting" link at your WebAmerica partner website. For instance, if you have registered your domain name at www.1hostamerica.com, please see the "Web Hosting" link at www.1hostamerica.com. Shortly after you order your web hosting account, you will receive instructions by email for logging into your account. Please allow up to eight hours for your account to be activated. If you do not receive your instructions by email, please submit a support request. To manage your existing web hosting account, go to the following address: https://66.216.127.20:8443 Log in using the password you created when you ordered your account. If you do not remember your log-in and you do not have the instructions that were sent to your email address, please submit a support ticket at www.webamerica.com . A customer service agent will then contact you with your information. Once you have logged in, you can view and set up email accounts, manage disk space, and install security certificates. Please contact customer support by submitting a support ticket through www.webamerica.com should you have further questions.
Question: Unlocking and Transferring a Domain Name
How do I... Remove my domain name security lock so I can transfer ownership from my account to another party's account at another domain name registration service? Transfer my domain name to my hosting service? Transfer my domain name to a new owner? Unlock the security lock on my domain name?
Solution:
1) You may unlock your domain in order to transfer ownership of your domain to another company's account at another registrar. By unlocking and transferring your domain to another domain registration service, you will give full administrative and ownership rights to the other party. Note: if you are hosting your domain elsewhere, then you can retain ownership rights by following the instructions in section (2) below. You do not need to transfer ownership of your domain to your hosting company in order to host a domain. Unlock your security lock ONLY if you intend to transfer ownership rights to another account at another domain name registration service. 2) To transfer your domain for hosting only, you do not need to unlock your security feature. Instead, ask your hosting company to provide you with two pieces of information: their primary nameserver name (also called "primary DNS"), and their secondary nameserver name (also called "secondary DNS"). Every reputable hosting company in the world will offer to you this DNS information upon request. Please provide this information in a support ticket to www.webamerica.com, and we will help you easily set your DNS to host anywhere you want, anywhere in the world. IMPORTANT NOTE: Some unscrupulous hosting companies may ask you to "unlock" your domain security lock so they may transfer ownership rights over your domain to their own account at their own domain registration company. Keep your domain locked to avoid this common problem of domain theft. You do not need to transfer administrative control over your domain to another party in order to host your domain anywhere you want. Simply get the primary and secondary DNS info mentioned above, and then set the DNS (also called "transferring DNS") on your own record by contacting www.webamerica.com. If your hosting company controls your domain name record, they own it, and they could make it difficult for you to ever host anywhere else. Therefore, keep your domain locked at all times, and follow the instructions above for your security. 3) to transfer ownership of your domain name to a new owner, log into your domain name manager. See the "Manage Domains" link or the "Your Account" tab at your WebAmerica partner website. For instance, if you have registered your domain through www.1hostamerica.com, see the "Manage Domains" link or the "Your Account" tab at www.1hostamerica.com, then select Option #3 to log into your domain manager. Enter the domain name without "www" in front, and use the password you created when you registered the domain. Once logged in, you may modify your contact info to reflect the new owners name, and you can set a temporary password on the domain manager. Provde the temporary password to the new owner, who can then log in and change the password to one of his own choosing. 4) to unlock a domain for transfer, please note that removing the security lock will allow administrative and ownership control over the domain to be transferred to another party's account at another domain registration service. You will no longer have administrative control over the domain through your account at your WebAmerica partner website, and you will permanently lose the ownership control panel for your domain upon transfer. To unlock your domain name, please submit a support ticket through www.webamerica.com. Unlock requests normally process within 24 hours. Please see (2), above, to see how you can transfer the domain for your hosting service without sacrificing ownership control over your domain.

Therefore, you will receive credit for all the hosting time you have already purchased.
Question: What Web Hosting packages do we offer?

Question: Lost password and/or invalid admin email address
I have lost my password, and/or I have an old or invalid admin email address. How do I get a password?
Solution:
Go to the "Manage Domains" link at your WebAmerica partner website. For instance, if you have registered your domain through www.1hostamerica.com, then click on the "Manage Domains" link or the "Your Account" tab at www.1hostamerica.com, and follow the instructions below: If the admin email address is current and valid on your domain's contact record (called the "Whois" contact record), then it is easy to re-set the password. Look for the "re-set password" option under the "Your Account" tab or the "Manage Domains" link. The system will send to you a password to the admin email address on record for the domain. (To view your Whois record in order to verify your admin email address, go to www.networksolutions.com, and click on the "Whois" link at the bottom of the page.) If your admin email address is old, outdated, or otherwise invalid, it is not possible to receive a password by email. We can re-set your original password at no additional charge (submit a support ticket through www.webamerica.com, include your original password and the domain name, and ask us to re-set it). If you can not confirm the original password you created when you registered your domain, we must manually verify your identity and update your contact record. For security reasons, it is important that we validate your identity through a special procedure called an "account configuration". Follow these steps: 1) go to your WebAmerica partner website. For instance, if your domain name is registered through www.1hostamerica.com, then go to www.1hostamerica.com to place your account config order. 2) next, click on the "Web Hosting" link. NOTE: You are not actually ordering a hosting account, but the service of re-configuring your contact record is the responsibility of the Web Hosting" department at your WebAmerica partner company. 3) Next, click on the "order hosting" link. Fill out the form, provide the domain name along with the domain owner's current contact information, and proceed to check out ($21). Be sure to wait for your "Order Confirmation Number". Please record this number. You will need it for the next step. 4) Write a short letter to explain why the contact information must be manually modified. Obtain a photocopy of the domain owner's driver's license or government-issued photo id. NOTE: The letter must be signed by the current domain owner. Be sure to reference the Order COnfirmation Number on the body of the letter. 4) FAX the letter and copy of photo ID to: 512-233-5907. Alternatively, send the documents via overnight express or registered US Post to: Web America Networks, Inc. Attn: Accounts Receivable 701 Brazos, Suite #500 Austin, Texas 78701
Question: My domain is expired. How can I renew it?
My domain name is expired. How can I renew it?
Solution:
You can reinstate (reactivate) an expired domain up to 30 days after the domain name's expiration date (Note: normally 30 days to the minute). See the "manage domains" link or "Your Account" tab at your WebAmerica partner website, then see Option #1. For instance, if you have registered your domain through www.1hostamerica.com, see the "Manage domains" link or the "Your Account" tab, then select Option #1. After 30 days of expiration, a domain can not be reinstated. In unusual circumstances, it is possible to "redeem" a domain (get a domain back from the deletion process) even after 30 days of grace period have elapsed. If possible, a domain may be redeemed by the original registrant only. The cost is $200. Most good domain names will go through an auction process after 30 days. It is important to renew your domains early, keep your Whois contact record updated and current, and keep multiple personal reminders on hand to monitor your domain's expiration. Your WebAmerica partner company may provide you with courtesy email renewal reminders. Please do not rely on these courtesy emails as your only reminders to renew your domains. If you wish to redeem an expired domain, please submit a support ticket at www.webamerica.com immediately. In some cases, minutes -- sometimes seconds -- may mean the difference between a redeemed domain or a lost domain. Domain speculation is a multi-million dollar industry. Good domains are typically re-registered by professional speculators within milliseconds of their deletion. Without highly specialized software, it is difficult for the average person to retrieve a lost domain.
Question: Transfer a domain to my account from elsewhere
I want to transfer a domain FROM an account at another domain registration company TO my account at my WebAmerica partner website.

You may need to visit your current domain name registration service to unlock the domain name for transfer, update the Whois contact record, and ensure that the domain is in "active" status prior to placing your transfer request with your WebAmerica partner site.

Question: How do I edit or modify many domain name records (Whois records) at once?
How do I edit or modify many of my domains at one time? (called Global Edit)
Solution:
You may globally edit a list of your domains so that all the domain records are modified at one time. This is especially useful to modify contact information or to update DNS information. NOTE: All of the following are REQUIRED for global edits:
1) all the domains on the list MUST share a common administrative email address. 2) include the new contact information and/or dns information 3) send the email FROM the administrative email address that appears on the domain contact record (Whois record). If an old or invalid email address appears on the contact record, AND you no longer remember the password on the domain account, WebAmerica can not process your global edit request. Send an email to support@webamerica.com with a list of domains to be modified. Include the words GLOBAL EDIT REQUEST in all uppercase in the subject line of the email.
